Thanks Megan for your post on Rebecca Jumper and fine work you have been doing in terms of educating Americans about our unique and shared heritage. I, like the First Lady have roots in Colonial VA and in the free Black/Indian communities of the Eastern Shore. I hope you will continue to explore this area of research, particularly how intimately people of African, Native American, and European backgrounds were connected in the Colonial period. There are many families with deep American roots whose ancestries are far most complex then they think. Anyway keep up the good work. Loving WDYTYA!
