Megan, You've written an outstanding obituary for your dad! George and I were stationed together in Saran, France in the early 60s. He was a bit older than I, and outranked me (he was a 1st Lt and I a 2nd looey). I considered him a big brother figure and frequently sought his advice; he never steered me wrong. He was one of the brightest individuals I've ever known, and all of us in Saran knew he was the smartest guy in the room, no matter the size of that room.

My life is better for having known him.
