Next up in the 15th anniversary celebration of the Seton Shields Genealogical Grants program is a peek back at the Genealogical Society of Douglas County, Oregon which received a grant in 2012.
The Society provides a library of genealogical resources such as books, magazines, cemetery records, obituaries, personal genealogical records and family histories. Their goal is to preserve these resources while making all of the records available to the general public. The grant award allowed them to purchase materials so they could build bookcases for storing and displaying their genealogical resources.
