As a way to celebrate the upcoming 15th anniversary of her Seton Shields Genealogical Grants program, Megan asked me to share thank you notes that she’s received over the years from grant recipients. (“Me” is Megan’s assistant, Nicole, by the way.)
Next is a look back at the Scott County Genealogical and Historical Society of Forest, Mississippi, which received a grant in 2005. The Society was fortunate enough to receive a truck load of old photographs from a local newspaper. The grant helped to fund acid free sleeves and binders to protect the photos, thus preserving this valuable collection for future generations.
